Info - Awning
SAFE USE OF YOUR AWNING
It is not advisable to put your awning out in very
strong windy conditions as this can cause serious damage
to the awning.
When you do put your awning out, ensure that it is
erected correctly in accordance with the manufacturer’s
instructions. It is advisable to use a proprietary ‘awning
tie down’ system to make sure that light breezes
or wind does not allow the awning to lift and cause
damage to either the frame, the fabric or your RV.
SET – UP
When setting up the awning on your RV make sure that
you keep one end lower than the other. This will let
any water that accumulates run off. Even if it is not
raining you can still get water build up from morning
dew or condensation drip from your roof Air Con.
TRAVEL
Make sure that you put your awning away properly and
ensure that the locks are in the travel position. If
you use awning ties attach them firmly.
LOOKING AFTER THE FABRIC
Your awning fabric will benefit from a regular clean
with a proprietary cleaner, both topside and underside.
This will ensure that a build up of debris does not
occur and become rolled up in the awning when put away.
USEFUL TIP
When camping and your awning is left out overnight there
is likely to be a build up of condensation on the underside
of the awning. To avoid this dripping on you whilst
eating your breakfast, use a window cleaners ‘squeegy’
to remove excess moisture.
